Travel Insurance Can Help Elderly Tourists | Find the Cheapest Car ...
With costs of medical care soaring around the world, elderly tourists are being advised to take advantage of inexpensive travel insurance, which could prove to be the most important purchase that they can make. Many British travelers choose not to buy insurance, which they view as an expense that just adds cost to their travel without any benefit. While this may be true for some, elderly travelers, who are more prone to injury and illness, are being encouraged to pay for the extra expense, as it may save them thousands of pounds in the long run.
A recent study conducted by Age Concern Insurance Services revealed that although the cost of travel insurance for older travelers is on average less than twenty pounds, many are still choosing to go without it, a decision they may come to regret. This is because this small twenty pound investment could end up saving them thousands as the report also revealed some of the out of pocket costs travelers could expect to pay, with many common injuries and illnesses ranging into five figures.
This makes a twenty pound insurance investment a no brainer for some travelers, but many in the elderly community are either unaware or unwilling to pay the fee. Age Concern hopes the report will encourage elderly holidaymakers to make a small investment in their health and safety that could end up saving them thousands.
