Amtrak also has discounted round-trip weekend fares along the same route, valid for Saturday departures. Return trips can be booked for Saturday or early Sunday morning. Sample round-trip fares include:

Richmond, Va. to Washington, D.C., $23 Williamsburg, Va. to Baltimore, $36 New Rochelle, N.Y. to Philadelphia, $36 Westerly, R.I. to New York, $37 Bridgeport, Conn. to Boston, $40

Tickets must be booked three days in advance and the promotion is only valid on Northeast Regional and Keystone trains.
