Travel insurance for pregnant women??!! - Netmums Coffeehouse
At 26 weeks you shouldn't have to pay a premium. We went to New York when I was 26 weeks. I phoned the travel insurance company twice before going to double check but they told me I was definitely covered. I think it was insure and go?? but actually some others covered even longer till about 30 weeks I think with no additional premium. I went to Egypt for 2 weeks when I was 12 weeks pregnant. The holiday was booked before I found out I was pregnant and when I had a good read through the insurance leaflet, it had a long list of "conditions" that did not need declaring and pregnancy was one of them so you should be fine. Our insurance was with Thomas Cook but I would have thought it applies to all travel insurance. I think it may become an issue once you have reached a later stage of pregnancy. HTH X As long as you have one of the new medical insurance cards (ehic cards) it stands for european health insurance cards you will be fine i ended up getting a full examination, heartbeat monitored and a scan and never paid a penny as these cards basically allow you to be seen in a hospital as if you were in britain! so quite handy to have!
